rand0m Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 Don't know a lot about pigeons, to be honest, but we have one in our side alley in Hitchin, North Herts. Seems in good health, we've put down seed and water for it and it's feeding/drinking fine with no obvious sign of wanting to leave. Haven't picked it up or done anything to spook it, but as best we can tell its ring number is GB 11 20974. Not 100% sure about the 11 though. We've filled in a form on the Scottish Homing Union site with the details but thought we'd better find a forum with people who know about this sort of thing too. Any advice?

Is there not another letter between the 11 and the other numbers? Like GB 11 A 12345
rand0m Posted October 1, 2011 Author Report Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) Fifer - the form on the SHU site implied it would be forwarded to that address, but there's no harm in sending a separate email I suppose. Henrik - You're right, of course. Looks like an L. And, just had a chat with Mrs Cooper, who was very helpful. Edited October 1, 2011 by rand0m
