adam owen Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 wat your thoughts on ideal nest conditions for ybs going to a race
JohnQuinn Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Motivation IMO is the same for all doos regardless of age, so if you win doing certain things with your old birds replicate it with the Yb's.
adam owen Posted September 6, 2011 Author Report Posted September 6, 2011 never played them on eggs and ybs before always roundabout mate
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 To retard the moult of natural youngsters some people split them get them repaired so they'll be on a big young bird for yer big races/when they'd usually break into a heavy moult. They basically keep replacing a week old youngster often as possible. Not letting the racing YBs feed a big youngster so its not takin too much out of them but they are still motivated and will stay in good feather as supposedely they won't moult when feeding a YB
Tony C Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 I've found you lose a higher % of young cocks racing them to eggs/babies.
