sapper756 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 What are members thoughts on feds, clubs and other organisations, having their sales on pigeon sites such as this one, instead of in halls etc, and on many occasions having a poor turn out. I personally think this type of sale is the future, JMO what do you think?http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0126-nerd.gif
ovy1255 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 well where else could i look at a pic of the bird for sale ask for its parents pedigree to be emailed to me or even get a pic or two of its parents or brothers/sisters then travel to the other side of the country to view other birds without leaving my living room.i still like going out to a sale or two or trip to belg or nl,but find it an easy way to try out future stock and watch performances of fanciers not in my local.
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Think the old style sale in halls etc are a great social occasion-not that am very sociable or buy doos at sales but it would be a shame to see the death of these for the folk who like to catch up with old friends and enjoy a day out with their fellow doo men
Guest IB Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Not that I think it makes choosing the pigeon any easier, I still prefer to see & handle them before I decide to buy.
THE FIFER Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 could be difficult if they have breeder buyers:and have a race point for the winner,
