greenlands Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Why do the BBC always have to push BOP.Again last night they showed a peregrine nesting in the Hartlepool area and it's on again tonight.Do you think they are a part of the RSPB,they NEVER tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, even a worker tells you he's been picking pigeon rings up from below the nest. Wind it on to 16 mins 20 sec. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b012my8v/Look_North_(North_East_and_Cumbria)_21_07_2011/ Lindsay
OLDYELLOW Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 saw a good documentary by Chris Packham the other night on bbc2 mainly about over grassing on the moors and the forestry commission / Dutchy Of Cornwall not using native broad leaf trees was quite interesting , although bops are a big part of what's going wrong other bodies are making it worse as well , the list would be farmers grassing on moors destroying habitats , the national forestry commission and the duchy of Cornwall planting not native trees , then the R.S.P.B on top of that .
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 TOTALLY AGREE. I live near the glynn valley and they have taken down about 60 - 70 acres of native trees may be more, right across cornwall!
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 did you see the duck it had killed?
OLDYELLOW Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 TOTALLY AGREE. I live near the glynn valley and they have taken down about 60 - 70 acres of native trees may be more, right across cornwall!they've done that and not been checked , have these trees been replanted ????????
OLDYELLOW Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 If the R.P.R.A and other unions came together perhaps they could enlist someone like Chris Packham to get our plight in the public arena as he actually knows what he's talking about http://www.chrispackham.co.uk/contact.htm
THE FIFER Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 thats the problem, members are doing all they can on sites etc,but getting nowhere, its the unions that need to get a push to do something, the SHU fought for years on its own and got little bits but nothing to save the sport, they all need to get together and fight, more power than anything, money, well i am sure members would pay a tenner a head to get moving,
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 well lets US come together and give it a push instead of typing it what you say?
