Filming Liberations

Ayrshire Fed, have just put on their web site a video of Sunday,s liberation from Carnwath.

tell you what guys each fed member can take a turn each week filming if you like the convoyers have enough to do believe me cant see a big stampede for that i take great pride in what i do and lose most of my summer weekends doing and it certainly isnt for the money

Canny mind it Alan, but i think we could stretch to a camcorder these days

 

The year Jim Hannah and I took over the race controling mobile phones with cameras were bought for both Jim and the convoyer and at the same time I was writing for Lanarkshire and continually asked for photos of the liberations nothing was ever produced and I asked Ian Henderson to help but nothing was ever forthcoming

i have said on here many times go and do it and see how taxing it is what would you rather have someone taking pictures or checking the baskets to get birds out that have never been basket trained or hens that have laid in the baskets out to get up the road with the rest i have no problem someone doing it people have came and watched and took pictures of the lib

i give up wth some of you guys the conditions are what they are you make a call on what you know between the race controller who makes various line of flight phone calls weather forecasts and even me phoning people i know on the line of flight to try and get a wider spread you make the very best job you can do as i have said before get in the motor and try it for yourself

A great idea true, and well worth doing. Very inexpensive too.... BUT of course won't happen, or not for a very long time. Powers to be have decided as such, andthat will be that eh!
