what a load of crap , I'm sure the Americans wouldn't be scratching for oil if this was the case nor the great floods and Hurricanes , and why the need for the use of grain for fuel , we'll all flood with global warming ???? perhaps if the poles defrosted perhaps the unfrozen ground would absorb it ??? the Japanese are probably one of the most technically advanced country's , if this was possible they'd of done it years ago , If I patent hover boots , it doesn't mean they work :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang: How about we blame the fog and mist in the channel the lack of communication between organisations in Holland and Belgium UK and Ireland ????? most is clashing and bops and poor birds , as some would say there's only ever a few % that are up to it , and the big difference is now most birds constitution is propped up with medicines , where is the natural vitality in there immune systems ???? , if we revert back to keeping less birds and not throwing the medicine cabinet at them , then perhaps birds would be more robust and cope with racing :)

Don't think this is a load of crap but what you input is certainly true in my book. First as you both know I do not race pigeons but I do love doos, full stop. I would love to race but do not have the time to put into the king of pigeons at this period in my life. I too feel that the birds of today are under too mush stress from chemicals introduced into their bodies through water induced suplements, chemical medication, one spot (oh! his birds have lice!) pre emptive antibiotics and on and on and on. Then you have all the other factors that we do not perceive (things that happen outwith our knowledge) like in Bigdas report. The best thing all you racing guys can do is bring your youngsters up naturally, cull the weak and anything that shows signs of the dreaded (young bird sickness, paramixo, paratyphoid etc.) as this is what the old MASTERS did in the past. Most of these ailments come about from people thinking young birds from expensive parents are too valuable to cull. End of the day no matter what else lies ahead of a race the fitest, healthiest, happyest birds will fly their hearts out like long, long time ago.

but any thing free has no value, just like windows xp, there are no hackers interested in hacking it people only go after things they can make money out of, i believe there was a water engine made once and the oil barons bought the bloke out, so they still scratch about. as they can control that but if your car ran on water big difference.

no need for the oil man, or the gas man

i remember once when i was a teenager long ago,a guy,who lived very near me,invented an engine for a car that would do about 80 to 100 miles a gallon,,,,,apparently as the story went then, the big oil companies paid him an undisclosed large sum not to do anything with it and bought all the rights to the guys engine !

Was an Octang that Ted... Putinto water. Very cost effective. So the big companies got together and bought him out... Like the match that Swan Vesters bought out etc. etc.

Saw the Opec responce when America threathen to flood the globe with cheaper oil... price way down... but nowt passed on here. See also the big Pool of untapped oil the USA are classified that this pool could supply the world for all it's oil demands for at least 50 years... They have decidedto sit on it till they have pinched every one elses and then will be one hell of a price... Mind we also have vast amounts of untapped oil our selfs... but again that isn't being considered at all just yet... Something to do with Money and profits, which are always far far more important than Life and ones well being... or Poor beings as the case may be.

Use to share a lot of site space with Silvio... I liked him, but many didn't. Gosh you want to get him on about 'Eye sign' or the lack of it lol.

ON THE CONTRARY ,, IT CAN TURN OUT EVER SO EXSPENSIVE IF YOU DONT CULL THE SICKOS OR THE WEAK

AND THATS ONE OF THE BIGGEST CONTRIBUTORS TO LOSSES ,, FOLK PAYE BIG MONEY AND TOLERATE CRAP OR SICKOS FROM THEM ,,

Too much crap put up with! Too many so - called names fobbing of Culls as Good birds. Too many discarding commonsence and work ethics and relying on bottles and pills.

Too many impatient and wanting instant sucess/ the rampant of stupidity in Incest breeding not having the first inkling when, how and above all WHY!

I mean if one wants to reproduce 'like for Like' then that an art, and ABOVE all the bird(s) must be of top flight from the top drawer...

Too much notice taken and given to the feather merchants, and the 'Name that races 200 -300 birds and has 4 -8 winner and 150 culls...

i think a lot of loses is down to great advertising and fancy peds etc

i know of some so called world beaters who did not win a federation race in years but let on to have the best pigeons

so really i just look past the advertising the fancy pics and peds and look at the results

it must be so hard on newcomers into the sport with the bold claims that people make

the races we are discussing here, are the good doos, that have failed to return national birds that have won in clubs feds and such like, this year it is this type of bird that has not turned up,

most races this year where as 2 year olds that are having the first shot at the nat it is them and it is the yearling that is wining races, so there is a problem with the experienced birds making there way home. ask any one what bird has won for them this year or which bird has beat there best, in any race this year
