Delboy Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 seems simple to me if north lanarkshire empty your bin region e is your section and if falkirk council empty your bin your in section d Aye , that is simple but what we are trying to determine is if Glasgow should be in section E Or Falkirk in section D.
Henrik Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Actually 2004, the section you were in at that time is the section you fly.All this came about because of Scott Gibson flying in sect D and EDid Gibson ever actually Fly a doo ?
Guest stb- Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Did Gibson ever actually Fly a doo ?well thats debatable but he did fill race sheets in for section d and e in the past
Guest stb- Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 This will need to be changed as all Kirkie and Milton boys rightful place to be is in Section E, Fanciers at the bottom end of section F are 50+ miles to the south west, hard enough for the Ayrshire guys without having to fly against fanciers in Milton of Campsie and Kirkintilloch.very good and sect e puts some campsie boys 50 to 60 miles north west of newbiggin in sect e Its been a pain in the *expletive removed* for the SNFC for years Lewis. It doesnt matter what you change, someone will benefit and someone wont.Thats why there wont be any changes to the existing sections, it will cause to much hassle. My thoughts are this, the sections have to be divided from south east to north west because thats the way the country lies, therefore sections would be West ( Ayrshire Renfrewshire down to Port Glasgow ) mid West (Hamilton down to Kirkintilloch and East Kilbride to Johnstone ) Mid section ( Newbiggin to Camelon Lesmahagow to Slammanan) Mid east ( East Calder to Stirling and West Lothian ) East ( As it is at present without Mid east ) South and North stay the same. So say this was implemented, you would now have folk complaining about not being in a good bit and vice versa so that is the reason nothing will or can change in the SNFC boundaries imo.prob just aboot right but wont happen
Guest KING BILLY Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 post code the sections udingstone would not be in section E lo

Guest bigda Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 yes dany that would sort it all out ml wonder who's all in the g post codeyes, but with some of the borders being 25 mile long or post codes areas, and with race point being changed constantly, when really with out much thought as to the lie of the land , as there are fanciers getting as much as 25mile of overfly, and have no obstructions in there line of flight some one mentioned designated areas of measurement, a tall building, a church could be the answer in the national. as it does not have the same affect in fed races.
Guest stb- Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 when the gold cups doon too 600 next year and 300 the following year dont think sections are the problem to be looking at ,, bop poor returns etc are destroying the hobbie and if it dont get sorted soon , there will be no need for any section , end off
Guest bigda Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 when the gold cups doon too 600 next year and 300 the following year dont think sections are the problem to be looking at ,, bop poor returns etc are destroying the hobbie and if it dont get sorted soon , there will be no need for any section , end off yes and you dont need a crystal ball, to see that come about, the bottom line will be then 1 race only, 100 birds gold cup
Guest bigda Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 having a race post marker, for Glasgow, from eastbourn would read eastbourn to eyemouth is 365 mile then measured from eyemouth to Glasgow 83 mile giving you a over all distance of 449mile from eastbourn now. flying as the great arc and it is imposable to achieve, the distance is 398mile from eastbourn to Glasgow. a difference of some 51 mile so you can see there is a big difference of 32 mile missing is this the width of the mountains in front of the birds, so it looks like the west section has a handicap of about 1 hour in a west wind, at kick of time, and going as much as 2 hours behind weather permitting
frank-123 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 very good and sect e puts some campsie boys 50 to 60 miles north west of newbiggin in sect e your 50 mile north west of the boys in Ayrshire no wonder your neck is sore is it red as well

Guest stb- Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 don't need to look at a map to know where the birds come from on a Saturday straight out the eastyip but i think you mean we lye east of ayrshire not nor west ya daffty with racing east and ayrshire getting more miles now i think that side of the section are winning it most times now , not often won over here now frank , when we used to race the west side and had a big overfly on ayrshire and had a prevailing west wind i would agree it was exceptionally hard for the west of sect f , but its changed days now ,, racing from the south east has deffo evened it out more now
