bewted Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 anyone got any idea how to breed red chequers to get the red darker,,,,just only in simple terms please
OLDYELLOW Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 blue bar or dark chequer carrying spread will breed t - pattern
JohnQuinn Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 If you pair a Red to a Blue/Cheq or Dk Cheq the Red offspring will have darker plumage, whether they would be Red Cheqers or not i couldn't tell you
bewted Posted June 9, 2011 Author Report Posted June 9, 2011 old yellow,,,,,whats carrying spread mean ? forgot that part just now !
OLDYELLOW Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 If you pair a Red to a Blue/Cheq or Dk Cheq the Red offspring will have darker plumage, whether they would be Red Cheqers or not i couldn't tell youyou would get most colours blues , mealys if not carrying spread ( from blue bar ) , blue chequer's tend to breed red and blue chequers but not t paterned , dark chequers tend to breed dark chequers and t - patterned which are the darkest reds , one thats not mentioned is the red grizzle spread typical of the Bricoux strain
