Guest peter4pm Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 Had my team of 32 young birds out this afternoon , 4 have been hawked , one survived its attack with miner wing damage , two i fear are dead , another one came in with its leg all mangled , had to kill it.Damn , this is my worst day ive had so far , there must be a fair few hawks in this area now as ive noticed the increase in attacks in the last 3 months , if this keeps up , at this rate il have no team left come end of july.
Guest peter4pm Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 i think the bird with wing damage will need to go in the bin its wing is realy swollen , maybe best to just get rid

JohnQuinn Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Had an attach a few weeks back and ended up losing 3 birds, and the BOP MISSED them. The survivors will are on red alert now so maybe its the last time the BOP will catch them off guard.

Guest 67ghirl Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 We have been having Daily visits from the Peregrine who circles the loft waiting - really disheartening especially when you are waiting for Doos from the Nationals. The YB's go off in all directions when it arrives, many sitting in the nearby trees for hours This has been happening for years down here but appears to be getting more and more frequent!!
