Has anyone got a bedlington terrier on the site??

if so pm please looking for some advice

Al-right George? there is a guy over here walks 2 Bedlingtons, Dog and *expletive removed* (rescue dog who is neutered) i know him pretty well and would ask him anything you wanted to know?

The expletive removed is the opposite of Dog, gettin a bit TOO much if i canny write b-i-t-c=h on a thread.

does he go for other dogs on the lead he sounds like my kinda dog :emoticon-0136-giggle:

He's fine but when a dog growls or snaps thats it game over lol my mums neighbour had my dog lifted up to her chest and he still had her dog by the forehead

He is bread of working dogs

its a matter of introcuding him slowlly mate to other dogs he just does not know how to interact with dogs on a lead is a good start as you can pull him back if trouble starts

was he around other dogs much when he was growing up :emoticon-0138-thinking:

he just has to learn how to react around other dogs

Me thinks you need to put him in his place Good and Proper if he disnae obey your command, assuming your telling him to stop!! The wee man had a dig at me on Wednesday when i lifted his bone, when i reminded him who the Gaffer is he brought it to me 3 times the day! If Max is anything to go by you'll be needing to remind him regularly cos he's as determined a wee dog as i've seen and we had dogs all our days. Will drive you to before he'll give an inch.

i bet that might be the problem mate as from a young age they are learning how to interact with other dogs

my advive would be bring him on a lead to where there are dogs and very slow introduce him to other dogs and when he interacts in a nice way lots of attention and sugar lumps break them in half's though and try not to use them to often if he learns he gets good attention and sugar lumps for interacting in a good way he should learn

its kinda the same thing with pigeons trying to teach them good habits

you can teach most dogs to do anything with sugar lumps

see john he does whatever i say but see the minute a dog annoys him its games a boggie he sees red and nothing can stop him and believe me he has had his fair share of rib softening lol the thing that gets me is my wee 4 year old lassie can litrally pull his tougne and generally fight with him but when it comes to dogs hes on form

btw the dog was fine until another dog attacked him! so maybe he is just thinking kill or be killed
