training this morning

just got back from 1st training toss.

all home and accounted for....ive always like to train early ,didnt go far ..some 15mls.

still got some that wont trap quickly..but im on their case! ;)

lucky you, there wont be any training where i am today,there is a gale blowing and as for rain it has not stopped for the last 2 days.

Same here mate,all birds sorted for this morning ,doors closed wind and rain blowing straight at front of lofts :-/

its gaining power the wind...a strong south west wind...pity this wasnt the wind for next saturday ;D ;D ;D

 

long range forcast n/east wind for next sat..worst one for me.

was going to take our y/b for first toss sunday but too windy and cold so will wait till next week .

 

ybs?...i havent had mine out of the loft yet ??) ;D ;D ;D

we had ours away again this morning,quite nice here ,that is their 5th toss so thats them finished now,first race on Saturday and our first ever race flying widowhood  :)

Lucky chaps to be getting a training toss club had one arranged for today but cancelled due to the weather birds would need wellies and a life-jacket. First race 17th weather permitting

Mine going back to 25 miles tomorrow as long as i get my back sorted cant hardly walk or bend went o pick one of my dogs up and felt it go misses has had to let oldbirds and ybs out for me driving me nuts took my ages to walk down to lofts

mine had 15 tossess so far upto 32 miles now training with our fed doing well 23 miles in 17 mins going really well now ready for first race this weekend

bloody hell 23 miles in 17 minutes thats motoring  ;)mine are doing 25 miles in 25 minutes  last few times they been best of look for the start of the season

my birds get a 50 or 60 milechuck on thursday before being basketed on friday hopefully that will do them then once a week at 30 mile till racing finishes

Good luck with your widowers Tammy, if they are fit and you are feeding the widowhood way, you should have a good race m8 ;)
