dal2 Posted March 20, 2011 Author Report Posted March 20, 2011 The fed has voted tae gan east this year but every member I have spoken to in the east section are going to race wae other organisations? I worry that the lack of birdgae will cripple the fed!!!! I have no other organisations to fly with and am very concerned!Sammy that fella got his permision despite the best efforts of Walter Swanston. Hope they dinny get oot????????????????

Walter swanston Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Steven, I am just back from a meeting with the race controller.Firstly he made no comment to me or the vice-president about any problems with the race programme in general.However he expressed concerns over Wakefield and Chesterfield.Wakefield because of overhead wires,an American Radar installation near to the site and any east in the wind and we would never see a pigeon, he suggest Thorsby Hall ( a UNC site ) as an alternative.In the case of Chesterfield the car park is not suitable, an easterly wind would place the birds directly in the flight path of Manchester Airport.He suggests Newark.I am going to bring all this to the management committee tomorrow night (Monday).I repeat that I am bound by the decisions made by the AGM of the Solway Federation

Grahmie spoke to a certain member that said he would rather see the fed go BANKRUPT than encourage this prog????? How can we poss survive when this attitude lurks to undermind the fed?Why is the Fechan and Lockerbie not welcome in these SPECIALIST CLUBS that tearing the fed in two? In fact its not their fault rather the niavity of the west section in my opinion?

All members do not have access to some clubs that will race west route, hence my specialist comment which I will retract. I personnally no bothered aboot direction but am extremely worried aboot the future o the fed! THIS IS NO FAULT OF ANY OTHER CLUB OR ORGANISATION just oors!

Ye the nat goes west and we go east!!!! The annan prem fly wae the Cumberland guys which is still west so the members of the solway fed that can go wae the prem could decide to go there(likely judging by rumour) Unfortunately the Ecclefechan club is outwith the boundary for the prem(I undestand why) so leaves us and Lockerbie with dumfries as certs to go wae the fed! It is not as bad as is being made out.
