Aviform Ultimate

hi everyone,for those that have used aviform ultimate do you rate it and what days do you use it?

Good stuff IMO , however I'm not using it fer ybs aviform have a plan for when to use it look on there site

Have used it in the past and thought birds looked healthy and in good condition, how ever I did not use on specific days, just as and when, tried to get some on Sunday morning from the stall, but they were all sold out.

not to interested in seeing what aviform have to say about it,im wanting to hear it from fanciers that have used it and if they found it any good

I've used if for many years even used it when was on the molasses base , there ya go however i'm not using for ybs this year just old birds only

My mate used it and hes not impressed by it says the old stuff brown in colour was far better.

another fancier mentioned the change in colour too oldyellow for what reason are you not using it on ybs..thanks for the replys

I want my young birds to build there own immunity up without any help so not using aviform on ybs , the old aviform was on a molasses base and still is available in the form magic gold ( aviform sold the old recipe i guess )

i tested my birds on this stuff to check if met its claims and it does i prefer using Aviform to drugs and medication , thats my choice and much cheaper imo

I did give it a try for a few months when I started back, but I did not see any difference in my birds.

 

The crunch came when racing season came round and label advice was to give them it for something like 5 days. I don't like anything in the water for that length of time, and also had a gut feeling that there is something wrong with bird's constitutions if they need medicated 5 days out of 7 - for 4 months - to keep themselves 'clean' - so I ended my trial of the product.

Did you test them during your trial ??? its not medication but will keep them clear , the risk is from mixing with other birds in the race baskets , that's where most things are picked up

Had not yet got to the stage of testing them routinely Mark, that came some years later, when the first result was clear for hexamita & worms - and low levels for trich & cocci. Background levels are said to prime the immune system, and prevent full-blown disease.

 

On return from the race, I add crushed fresh garlic to the drinker.

i was thinking the same fifer,the little time i spent near the aviform stand it was selling like hot cakes on a winter morning
