novo10 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 the club i hav joined am going to start to use ets this year so what would be the best for a new comerthe best is unicon but rings are expensive
aye ready Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 can't tell you whats the best cos i haven't used any of them except unikon which is i think the most popular, but i feel a lot of fanciers are reverting back to manual clocking with rubber rings for youngsters this year and then whats left of them putting ets rings on for 2012,thought about doing it myself this year but not made up my mind yet as i normally breed 60/70 young birds
sapper756 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 the best is unicon but rings are expensive how more expensive are the Unikon rings compared to other ETS systems m8?
PIGEON_MAN Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 I never say that one is any better than the other as they all basically do the same thing, what I would say is try and get your club members to all get the same, it makes things so much easier for the secretary and whoever is responsible for allocating rings and everything else thats involved.Try and get to some of the demonstrations that the various companies do around the country, then decide for yourself which system suits your needs the best.
PIGEON_MAN Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 how more expensive are the Unikon rings compared to other ETS systems m8?Probably best to check out prices at Blackpool as there could be a rise in all of them, the last BRICON rings I bought just before Christmas were £1.20 each, the old type still being £1.10,UNIKON I believe are £1.50 each but can be as low as £1.35 if you by in bulk.
novo10 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 how more expensive are the Unikon rings compared to other ETS systems m8?20p and 25p each m8
airdrie2 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 BEST TO CONTACT THEM ALL AND GET A CLUB DEMONSTRATION if going to blackpool arrange it down there our club got benzing last year no problems and if you buy the rings in bulk it is much cheaper
