Hi,

We are on holiday on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and have found a racing pigeon, and wonder if anyone can give contact details for someone around here that might be able to put us in touch with the owner so it can be returned?

 

The number on its leg ring is 048861

the number is not complete it should have lettering as well , so until you give full details of the ring , we cant help

I can find clubs in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Gomera - but not Lanzarote - they do have them in Lanzarote though

 

You will usually find that trainers will go over each morning - so unless the bird is injured - I would just leave it to find its own way home

Hi

There is also a one loft race from Lanzarota to

North Africa

The Derby De Pichones which has about 700 birds

It is run by La Graja Experimental and owned by

Cabildo De Lanzarota

Was in Playa Blanca in December and seen the birds

being trained

There race is 23 Jan 2011
