The topic this time is MIKE GANUS grizzles , As you all know i LOVE grizzles LOL

so i was wondering do any one know any body whos got these grizzles ?

and have they done any good with them .

I see in the BHW that there for sale at £250 for 6 birds , is that good then ?

The only reason im asking is coz i got silver shadow x van loons and most of them are grizzles ? ok you get the odd one or two blues and chequers , but i was going to put the mike ganus grizzles into my silver shadow grizzles .

But what disstance do you think they be good for ( racing )

Any way let me have your views GUYS .

Thanks a lot

PS id like to wish all members a merry happy christmas ( from Trevor Nicola Family ) grizzle-world :santa-dance::santa-dance::santa-dance::santa-dance::santa-dance::santa-dance:

I believe there middle distance suited to 200-400 miles from Ludo Claessen, a very interesting story with this family of birds, was that from out of nowhere a beautiful white grizzle landed in his garden. Ludo contacted the Belgium Royal Federation who then told him the fancier had died. Ludo liked the bird so much he kept him and bred out of him. From this bird he bred a 13th Provincial Orleans 3,069 birds and then 4th Provincial Chatteroux 2,031birds. Im lead to believe this family Mike has created are based around two birds The White Horse and the Golden Witten

Mike Ganus, is of syndicates lofts, its a stud and they have three loft locations one in england, one in america and one in holland. If you look on Mike Ganus website you'll find the grizzles few and far between, so obviously i would have felt they never made the grade as this is a racing loft also.

He also races in Canada Wiley. I visited his loft / Tony Alves when over there in 2005. This is a very successful set up.

Oh I see that is is website too, regards Tony.

Hi am interested in the Grizzles you have, what distances are you competing them to and, what level of success have you had with them.

My reason for asking is that I am currently, will be 4th generation yb's this coming season, blending the offspring of my good Roland Janssens Bl Grizzle hen with federation wining SVR, Janssen bloodlines and my Jan Aardens. With the intention of developing a 450 - 500 mile on the day family of mainly Bl grizzles, well thats the hope!

Maybe we could exchange some yb's to our mutual benefit ?
