hi,

im afraid you dont here of these strains any more there all van something or other i know what you mean in my earley days youpurchased pigeons on performence not pedigree with no performence behind them.

they were advertised with race performences not just long pedigrees as these days.

there is no english straines now adays , the workmans were a very good performence pigieon as were the osmans all gone witrh time

gaby vandabeley seem to be taking over now .

what will be next ? enjoy your pigeons remember pedigree is not every thing champion break away .

I gave my last one away this season to a fancier from Lancaster,he had quite a few first but mainly at the distance,Bred off a Pencil Cock and a Silver Hen both Dick Baldwin Barkers.

This is him.

I recall a fancier called Reg Barker from BAILLARIKEY(SPELLING MIGHT BE OFF) lONDON area had very good Savage barkers along with the Golden plovers, then Reg H Barker as well , dont know if they were related maybe some of the boys from the south can shed some light on this

look back in the BHW about 2 to 3 weeks ago. Mike Owen from Cymmer near Port Talbot South Wales was advertising birds for sale, Mike flew the Barkers quite successfully
