kirky Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 should not be a problem thats less than 500 yards.
geordie1234 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 should not be a problem thats less than 500 yards.how would you go about it if it was further like half a mile as im moving in 3 weeks and taking my doos with me ?
ALF Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 IF THE DOOS ARE GOING BACK INTO THE SAME LOFT THEN THAT IS HALF THE BATTLE AS THEY WILL SETTLE A LOT QUICKER BUT GET A CAGE/AVIARY UP ON THE LOFT AND LET THEM SEE ABOUT BUT IF IT WAS ME AND I HAD ONLY MOVED MY BIRDS A 1/4 MILE JUST AFTER RACING I WOULD HAVE HAD THEM OUT WITHIN A WEEK TO A FORTNIGHT THE SAME AS I DID WHEN I MOVED MY LOFT 7 YRS AGO

demolition man Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 how would you go about it if it was further like half a mile as im moving in 3 weeks and taking my doos with me ? Go to the place your moving to and toss the birds every day for the 3 weeks, then pair the birds in the new loft once you moved in, allow the birds to view the front of the loft for a couple of days then let one sex out break them then break the oppersite sex, by tossing the birds from where your moving to helps them to find there way back, believe me this works. Well i hope. I wont be looking forward to it, either way Go to the place your moving to and toss the birds every day for the 3 weeks, then pair the birds in the new loft once you moved in, allow the birds to view the front of the loft for a couple of days then let one sex out break them then break the oppersite sex, by tossing the birds from where your moving to helps them to find there way back, believe me this works.
