Roundo Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 I'm sure most of us are all busy working away on our 2011 pairings.I also make good use of the dark nights by updating my loft records, which brings me on to something I'd like to share with the members. I bought a pair of Janssens from Dave Atkin of Lincoln in 2006 from his very successful Wall, Lunt, Green & Galley bloodlines. Below is a list of the performances they are responsible for in just four years breeding in my stock loft - 1st Club, 1st Fed Winner of SHU Centenary Medal 2007 1st Club, 1st Fed1st Club, 1st Fed1st Club, 1st Fed1st Club, 3rd Fed2nd Club, 8th Fed3rd Club, 3rd Fed3rd Club, 15th Open, 21st Combine3rd Club, 15th Fed3rd Club, 20th Fed4th Club, 6th Fed4th Club, 10th Fed4th Club, 22nd Fed4th Club, 38th Fed5th Club, 7th Fed5th Club, 28th Fed6th Club, 15th Fed7th Club, 24th Fed9th Club, 21st Fed12th Club, 35th Open22nd Open They have only ever been paired to three different pigeons, all producing prize winners. To say I'm delighted with their record is an understatement. What do the members think? Colin.

Roundo Posted November 11, 2010 Author Report Posted November 11, 2010 whats the address to send rings no seriously a cracking pair, and suppose you will be floating eggs left right and centre next year Thanks Paul. I haven't been floating their eggs, but might consider it for next season. This year they were paired to different mates, with the cock being paired to a new hen I introduced and in the very 1st nest they produced one of my Federation winners. In fact this very pigeon returned the two weeks previous to top the Fed but came with other loft mates that were hens......say no more!!
Guest paulrstokes Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Wow so couls have a lot more to its name but for loft mates. Just shows how productive your dark nights can be in researching what is breeding what
Roundo Posted November 11, 2010 Author Report Posted November 11, 2010 Wow so couls have a lot more to its name but for loft mates. Just shows how productive your dark nights can be in researching what is breeding what Paul, More than half these performances would have been better if it hadn't been for other loft mates.I always update my loft management system this time of the year, and it wasn't until I added this years results that I realised just HOW good they were producing.I was obviously well aware of the Fed toppers, but didn't realise how big the list had grown until I saw it in black & white. Colin.
Roland Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Gosh Could they do the same down here in England? Be a good test if I try some them for you down here like! No need to worry regards water, I could take them straight down middle land
