PATTY BHOY Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 does putting an owl on top of your loft deter raptors??
Tony C Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Nail a cat by its tail to the top of your loft, the Meee-Owl it gives out works very well. There’s been discussions on here about putting plastic Eagle Owls on lofts but it seems the hawks get use to them after a short while.
Guest shadow Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 no it does not the hawks get used to them

Guest Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 i put myne up but i move it round and take it down like real owl would move etc and dissapare etc and its worked Thats what I do, and it works for me too
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 i think people think if you put it there and leave it it will do the trick it will for a while but then the hawks realise that it is no threat, as it dosntt mobve!
oldguy Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 if a hawk doesnt come near the loft why should your own birds feel secure when they have to land near an owl kev
Guest Freebird Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 i put myne up but i move it round and take it down like real owl would move etc and dissapare etc and its worked I think that's the secret, move it around or just put it out when the birds are out.
Guest Freebird Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 keep movin it around An stick it on a post (evil)
