do your silver mealies breed any good youngsters for flying as maybe there just breeders and not racers,,,,just a suggestion to think about !!!

They are Roland Janssens, so there will be plenty of people who would class them as 'just breeders and not racers'. Best has been 2nd club, 5th fed, but early days as it was my first season racing this year.

we all like different colours but our like for them goes out the window when you get your 1st bird on a saturday after the race. clocking it in telling (kidding) yourself i new we would get a turn out of you.

I can get to like any colour if the bird wins races. These days I have a heck of a lot of blues, because my best breeding cock happens to be a blue and he has been used as one of my bull cocks for a few years now. The one colour I do not get on with is red cheq and mealy. This is because the peregrines get them. I had a lovely mealy hen that was doing great on the road at Fed level, and I was getting carried away with my enthusiasm. Then the peregrine stepped in yet again and she had gone the way of the others.

that picture was taken at end of young bird season , hes much improved since ;)
