Wilkinson's Crates?

Hi All,

 

Ok, so I am looking to put a few nest boxes in this "loft" I got. Just temporary  ones until I get my new loft in a few weeks when I will build some proper stable ones.

I saw a post on here about using some Wilko's crates but I am confused (doesn't take much)

What crates are we talking about here..is there any possibility some1 could post a picture as the only crates I've seen in there don't remotely resemble nest boxes.

I put four of these up in my loft. The birds didnt take to them at all.

 

I put some crisp boxes down and they were all claimed straight away. :-/  Scraping them wasn't easy so I gave up - the birds reared beautifully and when they weaned, I just threw the boxes away.

ive just finished with mine after what turned out to be a very productive season, i have used 24 crates and they are as good as new, and now stored away in case i use them next year

 

60 rings of my own used, plus 24 of other peoples

they like crisp boxes and often put them inside the stock nest boxes, the birds are far more settled in a darkened box and when yb's are weaned burn the box and put a clean one in.

Think in view of the fact that loft shud be here in a month or so I may go with crisp boxes till then.
