Kevin Lawson of New Ollerton i believe didnt race any young birds in 2008 but had a really fantastic year with those pigeons in 2009 in the NRCC winning i think it was 2 x 1st Open's (maybe need correcting on that one)

Think the birds were trained extremely well though as babies.

Lawsons birds i believe were trained upto the 150mile stage at the race point sites. Lead to believe he even asked to lib his birds with a transporter at one of the sites. He took 2x1st NRCC that year allowing him to equal the legend Frank Taskers result of 5x1st NRCC's.

I know of a top National flyer, who breeds 100 youngsters, he races 50 right through the young bird programme, and only trains the remaining 50http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

For me 10 youngsters that have had at least 4 races are worth 40 youngsters that have had no experience of the race basket.
