First Race Of The Year!

Well first race of the year for me turned into a bit of a tough encounter for the 85 miles mine had to fly. Flying 50 miles longer than the shortest flyer and 25 miles short of the main town, into what was a head wind for mine it looks they will take the red card, and whats more i had 7 together and 2 shortly after, so would be first 9 i would say, but we only count the first bird.

 

Another good point was i got a club members dtr to pick my nom bird and that was the first one thru the trap!! Cheers Bev!

 

On a dissapointing note still only have 10 from 18, but it has turned pretty fierce here, gale winds and rain.

 

But overall very pleased!

think its been bad racing as far as returns go all over mick, seem a bad week for lots, it was a disaster in FIFE yesterday I only had 2 birds out of 17 on the day now have 7 so still 10 to come,but well done m8

I dont like loosing birds, but when its a tough day i always think it makes a bird, it shows what they are about.

 

One thing for sure i wont worry if no more come home, i'm happy the ones i got proed themselves, but its always nice to see them work in, shows character and heart.
