pigeonman007 Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Hi all A canary breeding friend of mine has offered me 8 of his canary breeding cages as he is packing up. The cages are made from 9mm ply and are app 54" long x 15" tall x 12" deep. and are divided in 3. If I left them as is that would give an individual box perch of around 18" x 15" x 12". They have draw out trays at the bottom and I could put 1"x1" mesh risen on a frame over the draw out trays. Question really is would this be to big for a box perch. I can modify them if need be, but was hoping to get away without doing to much to them lol
Guest joshdonlan Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 normally about 12" square, so cant see it being a problem :-/
greenlands Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 If youve got plenty of room in your loft can't see it being a problem, would make good hen boxes if you fly widowhood . Lindsay.
showman Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Too wide in my opinion. If you used them for youngsters, they could be divided again....9" wide, have used this width before, no probs.
