Guest strapper Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 well had the worst of traps today,1st bird came on line and went onto the house roof and stayed there..within a minute and half 5 were circuling to come down...they all stayed on the roof. should have clocked 7.57..ended up clocking just under 8.03..one of the 5 that came together..a little gutted but i blame myself for feeding too late yesterday because of circumstances. last oldbird race for myself so now to concentrate on the stress i mean youngbirds i hope the youngbirds season holds better fortunes and luck for me..than the oldbird season has.

greenlands Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 Hi Paul, keep taking the tablets mate and get some extra when the youngens start. It makes you wonder why pigeons do that .Usually the first one can be a bit stupid but the following birds for some reason seem to know it's safe and trap like bullets. My last old bird race I genuinely lost fifteen minutes with the first bird ,he's not the best at coming in,just about caught every race he's been to.The others when they finally landed would have knocked you over if you'd been in their way.Hope you have a great season with the young birds. Lindsay.

I had years o sittin watchin them watchin me frae the hoose roof loosin countless races and poolers.Made decision wae the younguns one year that I would not let them sit on roof. Now they sometimes gan roon un roon when they home but still no as frustrating. it took two years for all doos tae ignore the roof but well worth it.Hope you have a corker wae yer youngunsCheers steven
