The national races are just about here. Are everybodys plans on track or have there been a few spanners in the works?

heard a wee story the other night of old fanciers in years gone by trying to send there birds eggy just ready to lay on the saturday night of the race

so they would home quicker

Had the same conversation last nite at club when an egg was found frae last week and a fanciers arithmetic was brought intae question

I know some fanciers send to Barcelona International with hens prepared to lay in the basket. Mind you they are 5 days in basket, so they have time to recover internally before lib.

I left 4 hens at home last night who's vents were open and supple. NONE of them laid! but 2 hens i did send laid tonight, i checked every hen going too. Couldn't be up to them :unsure:
