just wondering : if anybody knows weather the unc are going ahead with the channel racing in 2006 as heard a rumer that its 50/50 chance of racing merry christmas to all

I WOULD GUESS THAT THE CHANCES OF ANYBODY RACING FROM THE CHANNEL IN 2006 IS ABOUT 50/50 WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE COUNTRY.

Like everyone else, hoping for 'channel racing' 2006.  

 

Would like to make it 100% CERTAINTY by having serious alternatives to European mainland checked out  in advance.

 

Might sound crazy, but has there ever been a race liberation from a boat mid-ocean before? Was thinking about boat-hire to 'middle of North sea', or in the Atlantic a few hundred miles off Irish coast?

 

And of course, there's always north, Shetland & Faroes.

 

Due East, West or North maybe solve some of the overfly greets, turn things on there head for one year anyway.

When the French didn't want us over there we raced from Belgium & Spain ---- where theres a will theres a way !.

won't Spain and Belgium be covered by Blanket EU Legislation

Possibly Hyacinth --- but it didn't last time, our birds went to Spain by sea then they drove across to Palamos where the birds were released.

under the present regulations racing is permitted within the British Isles so that means we should be able to race from the Channel Isles as they are part of the British Isles,
