our fed and other feds around our area had a shocking race with many birds missing at nightfall the races wereall from cheltenham liberated at different times from 9 30 through to 11 00 many good fanciers over 30 mins behind for the 95 mile racewe were fortunate to win the race by over 40 yds per min but our next arrival was 35 mins after our first bird we sent 15  thats the kind of race it was for everyone

Well done to Hyacinth and " Nancy " on their wins, seems as though they were determined pigeons and wanted to get home.  I have heard though that there are a few empty perches.

our fed was also at cheltenham 85 mile to me!! shocking returns for most members by nightfall!! birds all look like they had flown 200 miles not 85? :-/ i got 7 out of 12 and some good fanciers are some good 2/3 year old experienced racers missing?

Sorry to hear that yours wasnt a good first race Max. _ Dont be too despondent. It wasnt a good day for racing pigeons yesterday.

I sent six experienced birds and got them all but most of the fanciers thast sent yearlings lost a good percentage of them.

The Northampton Northroad club suffered badly as well and I think they were at Cheltenham.
