johnny11 Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 Do any of the fanciers on here enjoy a round of golf. We have the British Open on the Wirral next weekend and it is generating a good buzz around the place. All the celebs descending on the Wirral John

Tony C Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 Don't play the game but like watching, especially the majors. Going to back a couple of longshots in The Open. Jim Furyk 33/1 & Thomas Björn 50/1. After The Open we've got the Ryder Cup to look forward to (Sep 22-24), great drama.

johnny11 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Report Posted July 14, 2006 Hoping to get there to see it this year, love watching it more than playing it. It is £50 for a day ticket but if you come out of the course you cannot go back in If I wanted to rent my house out for two weeks for this I could have gotten £1500 a week. Some of the houses overlooking the course are going for £10,000 per week. john
