Henrik Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Write back to the Belgian Union explaining what has happened and they will send you the ring card
Dave A Posted August 14, 2006 Author Report Posted August 14, 2006 i have already done that by email 3 weeks ago and then last week sent it 3 times but i have got no response ?
Henrik Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 I got a ring card for a French one a few years back but had to pay 8 francs. Mibe you should write and ask as there may be a charge for it
Dave A Posted August 14, 2006 Author Report Posted August 14, 2006 i did get a letter saying that i can get a duplicate card for a small fee of 10 euros but the bank transfer alone to do this is £35, but i am not willing to pay over £40 for a bird i know nothing about
Guest Paulo Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Breed a few young uns off it then and toss it. You've done your best to report it and do things properly and the owner is obviously not interested so not your problem.
Dave A Posted August 14, 2006 Author Report Posted August 14, 2006 it wont go, when i got it in it was still sqeaking and it has settled hence why i want it transferred
Henrik Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Why dont you go to the Post Office and Get 10 euros then post it to them, wont cost you £35 then will it.
Dave A Posted August 14, 2006 Author Report Posted August 14, 2006 in the letter it states that it must be done by bank transfer not cheques or postal orders
Guest Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 where you from? most prob the young bird was sold to a fancier over in this country if it was still squeaking. that might be the reason why they not interested over in belgium.
Dave A Posted August 14, 2006 Author Report Posted August 14, 2006 it has got a belg phone number ring same as its race ring ( not a clip)

Dave A Posted August 14, 2006 Author Report Posted August 14, 2006 sorry i was replying to a pm that i got that is what i have just registered on thanks anyway
Roland Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Go into Thomsons or Nationwaide, no charge for exchanging money - after consulting with Karen James at the RPRA and send a letter wrapped around the notes! But really the RPRA will sort it so you can race / breed or whatever. Remember the cost to have it back is a small fortune. Over a £100 12 years ago... so he don't want it.... cheaper to make holes in a shoe box and have a day out visiting his loft lol
