AND WHAT HAVE THESE POSTS GOT TO DO WITH YOUNG BIRD SICKNESS

I can confirm the lanarkshire transporter was at otterburn on sunday. Too many folk on here just try to cause trouble for officials without getting the FACTS first

THE BIRDS WERE COLECTED ON FRIDAY AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT OTTERBURN ON SATURDAY 19th NOT SITTING IN ANDERSONS YARD ALL DAY AND LEAVING ON SUNDAY MORNING BECAUSE IF THE BIRDS HAD WENT DOWN EARLY ON SATURDAY WE WOULD DEFINATELY GOT A RACE FROM KELSO BECAUSE THE WEATHER THERE WAS GOOD AND I KNOW THIS FOR CERTAIN BECAUSE I WAS THERE ABOUT NOON  AND YOU COULD SEE FOR MILES AND THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO BAD WEATHER ON THE WAY DOWN AND THERE IS NO POINT ARGUING THE TRANSPORTER WENT AT 4-15 ON SUNDAY MORNING IT SHOULD HAVE WENT EARLY ON SATURDAY AND ANOTHER POINT THE BIRDS ARE MEANT TO LEAVE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT INSTEAD OF BEING RUMBLED DOWN EARLY ON THE DAY OF RELEASE .AND WHAT HAVE THESE POSTS GOT TO DO WITH YBS

How many other Fed's do the same thing. I think its just another way to cut costs. With no consideration for the Birds when they reach the liberation point and no respect for the fancier who puts in a great deal of effort into getting them prepared for the race.

Not defending anyone, or having a go either. Just telling it like it is, or as I experienced it.  ;)

Last week the  5-days forecast leading up to the weekend was a puzzle for me. Supposed bad weather Saturday 19th, better Sunday. Our birds didn't go, race was put back till Sunday, basket Saturday night.

Saturday 19th dawned bright & clear here. Expected heavy rain? TV said band of heavy rain stretching from Cumbria right across Scottish Borders to Northumbrian coast. We should have been at Witton Castle (Durham). Putting the race back to Sunday seemed the right decision to me.

Sunday 20th dawned miserable ... expected that weather Saturday? Our birds were up @ 0900. Tonight Tuesday, I've 6 home out of 14. On Sunday my last 'day' pigeon, No5, was home at 2pm. My 6th pigeon arrived in darkness at 9.30pm.

So your birds being brought back WAS the right decision. Seems some of you have forgotten Scotch Corner. Credit given where credit due.

I'm suffering from an entirely different form of young bird sickness just now ... I'm the one who is sick ......  ;D

NOBODY IS DISPUTING THE FACT THE BIRDS WERE BROUGHT BACK ON SUNDAY THE POINT BEING MADE IS THE BIRDS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE ON SATURDAY AND WE ALL KNOW SATURDAY WAS A GOOD DAY WEATHERWISE AND THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS WEEKEND WAS NOT GOOD BUT I BELIEVE THAAT IN CASES LIKE THIS THE BIRDS SHOULD BE AT LEAST TAKEN TO THE NEAREST RACEPOINT AND IF THE WEATHER IS OKAY THEY SHOULD BE LET GO THERE AS IN THIS CASE A RACE COULD HAVE BEEN HELD FROM KELSO BUT IF THE BIRDS ARE SITTING IN A YARD YOU HAVE NO CHANCE OF A RACE FROM ANYWHERE.

THIS POST WAS UNDER YB SICKNESS    AND I COMMENTED ON THE BIGGEST FACTOR WAS STRESS,,,,,,,I MEANT FOR THE PIGEONS,?? THE FORECAST WAS BAD FROM NEWCASTLE GOING NORTH, A FEW FEDS CANCELLED THEIR RACE, WHICH IN MY OPINION WAS RIGHT,[EVEN ALLTHOUGH THEY MIGHT HAVE HAD A RACE,I SAY YOUR BETTER PLAYING SAFE] YOUD THINK THAT WAS THE ONLY SAT IN THE YEAR, LOOK AT THE PENTLAND FED , THEY USED HAVE ANOTHER 6 RACES AFTER THE YB NAT,AND IN THE PAST HAVE HAD GREAT RACING
