mickmcgrevy Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 Hi all, 12 out of 14 yesterday, 1 this morning, out of Woking into Barnsley area returns were patchy, it would seem that a lot of the birds did not clear the race point for a while but appeared to be breaking in batches and coming in bits. Weather here was full cloud untill about 1pm then sunshine and blue sky 50/50, but filled in again about 4 30. Im east of Doncaster about 6 miles. Mick

GREENGRASS Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 Glad to hear you all have good returns as we got slaughtered yesterday from catterick. we were controlled by the south lanarkshire race controller and he made an a**e of it to be polite. not only did he ignore the advice he was given by our controller he thought he knew more than the weather forecasters. approx 80% of the convoy missing so i hope he sleeps well tonight safe in the knowledge that he has destroyed the plans of many a fancier, me included.

GREENGRASS Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 to be honest rose the guy does have a good reputation with his liberations but yesterday i think he took leave of his senses. the weather was terrible up here and you would not have put your birds out for a fly in it let alone race in it.
