elanco Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 Tammy_1 ARE YOU WAITING ON MANY BIRDS FROM THIS RACE ELANCO ? 0 out of 15.... ??)
DECKY Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I was fortunate to time the first one in the west at 15.46. The bird had been through alot of rain but apart from that she was in brilliant condition when she landed. Hats off to the race contol team for looking after the birds so well. I have 2 from 5 sent
THE FIFER Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 ELANCO IT'S NOT EASY WHEN THE WEATHER IS OFF COURSE FOR RACING AND DECISSIONS HAVE TO BE MADE SOME ON THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT, I HAD NONE AWAY SO WAS NOT INVOLVED, BUT I AM SURE EVERYONE DONE THEIR BEST,TO GET A RACE,

Guest Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 Well done all. Can confirm it was chucking it down here in Central Scotland + blustery wind, from around 3pm. Gallant birds one & all to have beaten the weather front home, or come through it.
Guest Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 gregor macaulay probable winner of 2nd open and 1st & 2nd c section,
pender Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 Looks like it was not a good race lot of birds missing .
pender Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 you always get that some have good returns wile others have been slaughtered, i going with what i herd of in the west.
Guest Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 i was going to reply wots the point :X :X :X :X
andy Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Looks like it was not a good race lot of birds missing . PENDER, I PRESUME FROM THE POST ITS BIRDS MISSING FROM THE LANARKSHIRE AREA COS THE RETURNS ARE GREAT FROM EDINBURGH, CENTRAL AND NORTH WEST AREAS. IF I CAN SUGGEST THE REASON FOR THIS ITS COS YOUR BIRDS HAVENT BEEN FAR ENOUGH LEADING UP TO THE NATIONAL. THE SAME THING HAPPENED LAST YEAR ALSO FROM CHELTENHAM. GRANTED SOME OF YOU HAD AN OPEN RACE FROM WAKEFIELD WITH THE N/WEST FED, BUT EVEN AT THAT YOUR MEMBERS WERE 1TO 11/2 HOURS BEHIND THE WEST OF THE CENTRAL & N/WEST FEDS. ITS ALL ABOUT PIGEONS BEING OVER THE COURSE AND YOUNGSTERS NEED TO BE KEPT GOING EACH WEEK TO PARTICIPATE. WE IN PENTLAND FED HAVE BEEN AT 220 MILES TWICE THIS YEAR ALREADY. IM AFRAID KELSO & OTTERBURN ISNT GOOD ENOUGH EVERY WEEK. IM SURE THE MAJORITY OF YOUR MEMBERS ALREADY KNOW THIS BUT FOR THE ONES THAT DONT, TAKE NOTE OR NEXT YEAR WILL BE THE SAME IF YOU DONT CHANGE..... ALL THE BEST WITH YOUR FORTHCOMING MEETING...ANDY M...
Guest WINGS 04 Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 ANDY I THINK YOU ARE BEING A BIT DISRESPECTFUL WITH YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT 1 TO 1 1/2 HOURS AS IF YOU LOOK AT THE SNFC RESULTS YOU WILL SEE THAT THE WEST OF SCOTLAND HAVE A FAR HARDER TIME OF IT THAN THE EAST COAST FLYERS IN THE SNFC WE IN THE WEST FLY FOR OR SECTION AND IF IT IS A HARD RACE WE HAVE GOT A CHANCE OF BEING WELL IN AS SOME OF THE BEST LONG DISTENC FLYER LIVE IN THE WEST AND IF THEY MOVED OVER TO THE EAST I HAVE NO DOUBT THEY WOULD WIN MORE THAN THERE FAR SHARE OF THE PRIZES
andy Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 WINGS, DISRESPECT WAS NOT INTENDED. I WAS TALKING OF THE 1 TO 1 1/2 HOURS FOR THE UDDINGSTON OPEN RACE WITH THE CENTRAL & N/WEST FEDS NOT THE SNFC. ITS FACT THAT THERE WAS FEW PIGEONS HOME ON THAT DAY IN QUESTION AND A COUPLE OF MILES FROM YOUR FED BOUNDARY THEY TUMBLED IN. YET AGAIN I STATE MY FACT & RE-READ MY ORIGINAL POST THAT YOUR PIGEONS ARE NOT GETTING THE REQUIRED FLYING TIME TO KEEP UP WITH THE WINNERS. FACT NOT FICTION. YOUR PRO TAMMY HAS BEEN TALKING ABOUT I QUOTE "ANOTHER KELSO" ALL SEASON........
pender Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Yes wings you are right, most of these people forget it lot harder race flying in to here than any other part of scotland the west i meen, you just need to look at the dif in the vel from the east to the west, *expletive removed* you could get a paper bag to fly in to there area.
andy Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 i was going to reply wots the point :X :X :X :X GEORGE, YOUR RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
Henrik Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Aye but the paper bag also needs the right man flying it.............
pender Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 well il reply for you, 4 members from the east took 33 post between them from 170 possible post, they sent 171 birds between them. you try and do that from the west my boys .
pender Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Know one is arguing that there not good pigeon men because they are good flyers i take my hat of to anyone who can fly a good bird. but there is big dif from flying in to the east than there is in to the west that is all i arguing about. not who is the best. exp young bird racing.
