Chris Little Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 One of our local clubs has just recently been awarded £5000 for ETS A big well done goes to our secretary ;D
andy Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 READING THROUGH THIS POST AND COMPARING IT WITH THE ANTI-ETS BRIGADE, THE ETS SUDDENLY BECOMES OKAY TO USE WHEN A GRANT IS WON AND NOBODY HAS TO PAY FOR IT OUT THEIR OWN POCKET. TALK ABOUT DOUBLE STANDARDS. NOT NAMING ANY CLUBS OR INDIVIDUALS BUT THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!!!!
TheSaddler Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Andy - We bought T3's, a computer and a shed to store the baskets"
andy Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Andy - We bought T3's, a computer and a shed to store the baskets" OF COURSE YOU DIDNT BUY ETS, THAT WOULD BE LIKE BUYING A CAR AND NOT HAVING A LICENSE TO DRIVE, AS YOUR NOT APPROVED TO USE IT IN ENGLAND. I WAS REFERING TO SCOTLAND.

TALK ABOUT DOUBLE STANDARDS. NOT NAMING ANY CLUBS OR INDIVIDUALS BUT THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!!!! Andy , I see no indication of double standards in any of the previous posts. You claim there is an anti ETS brigade within the ranks of this forum , correct , I am one of them and no doubt there is a lot more out there somewhere. I have reservations about the system and I am not afraid to express my views, however credit is given where it is due, in my instance , this goes to my local club secretary in his perserverance and successful application for a grant. Why the club chose to go for ETS was decided at a meeting I wasn't present at , I have no gripes about this , the reason for my absense was we were attending a national presentation collecting silverware.... believe me much more fun indeed ;D Just because a cheque is being waved around in front of my nose it doesn't make me an ETS supporter, far from it...... Chris ;D ;D

frank-123 Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 chris will you use ets or a clock? you could still catch them and hold them over the sensor
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF THE CLUBS THAT USED THE INFORMATION I SUPPLIED MANAGED TO GET A GRANT. I KNOW ONE CLUB WAS AWARDED A GRANT WITH THE DOCUMENTS I SENT TO THEM AND THAT WAS BLANTYRE
Pompey Mick Posted September 10, 2006 Author Report Posted September 10, 2006 I haven't used it yet Tammy, I've prepared a draft, just waiting to see if ETS gets the go-ahead in England so that we can apply for a grant for an ETS system. Thanks once again for the time you spent in forwarding the information.
DECKY Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I was the first person to get a racing pigeon club grant from awards for all. I persevered for years and finally they gave in. I opened the door for every pigeon club in Britain to get a lottery grant. What you need is 1. A sound club constitution 2. A recent bank statement 3. A quote for goods you intend to purchase with grant. 4. Reasons why you need grant and what difference it would make to your community. 5. You have to show the lottery that your club is trying to raise money towards the goods it intends to purchase and not just relying on the grant. I hope this helps.
THE FIFER Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 CHEERS TAMMY, WILL LET U KNOW HOW WE GET ON.
