ACE LOFTS Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 this winter im being lazy and decided to use floor dressing so in the cocks i went for kiln dried sand, i dont like it because it blows every were and it is messy out side the loft. in the hens iv used wood chipings which is better than the sand but still a pain. i think im gona take it up and go back to scrapping out ones birds have moulted.

ACE LOFTS Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 your so right tammy u cant beat a nice sharp scrapper. sorry to here that u got that dreaded thing
TERRY JOHNSON Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 Definately wire or slatted floor, preferably slatted then you cant see the mess under it as easily also none of those damp patches for the pigeons to get at.
