johnny11 Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Hi I was fortunate to be given a copy of this book and must say it is an excellent read. If you enjoy a good book I suggest you get hold of a copy of this and read it. the story has everything and is about pigeons to boot. The Scottish contingent will enjoy this as it is set in Fife. The thing that most impressed me is the way Graham has set the book out to explain the pigeon racing set up to the non fancier, I truly believe any non fancier that reads this will definately be intrigued and maybe want to start up. Well done Graham excellent book. Anyone else read it John
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 NOT YET JOHNNY BUT WILL SOON HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO BECAUSE A COUPLE OF NIGHTS AGO I ACTUALLY GOT A PHONE CALL FROM GRAHAM HIMSELF AND HE ASKED IF I WANTED TO GET A COPY SENT TO ME BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN PICKING SOME NAMES OF PEOPLE THAT WERE WRITING ARTICLES IN THE BHW OR RACING PIGEON AND HE WAS SENDING OUT A FEW COPIES TO THE SAID PEOPLE AND I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE ONE OF THEM SO HOPE ITS AS GOOD AS YOU SAY BECAUSE IF I AM READING ABOOK AND I AM FINDING IT BORING IT GETS PUT DOWN STRAIGHT AWAY. JUST NOTICED THERE YOU SAID IT IS SET IN FIFE NOW THATS A DIFFERENT MATTER IS FIFESTAY OR FIFER IN IT ?HOPE NO OR IT DEFINATELY WILL BE BORING

Pompey Mick Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 I bought the book when it was first advertised and have to admit that it is a good read. I read it in two sessions it is that interesting that you don't want to put it down. There is a bit of poetic licence, but on the whole the storyline is very believable. A very good read.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 HEY TAMMY 1 WHEN YOU FINISHED READING IT (SHOULD'NT TAKE YOU LONG COS YOU JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES) SEND IT OVER TO ME PAL ;D ;D ;D well i got the book in the post this morning and there is no point sending it to you either because there are no pictures in it and i will definately no be in fife if they are murdering the old folk over doos. and its tam murdoch any connection to you. i have put this on in lower case letters so i dont offend you but thats no use because i cannae see it so i will be back to usual all messages in capitals
Beanz Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Read the book thought it was a cracking read, usually I get bored after a couple of chapters not this one, if Graham is writing another and its half as good as this then it will be worth waiting for.
