Guest anthony Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 I know you are joking and all of us love animals. What makes me think is how come some cat owners just leave there pet going to nieghbers, can they keep it inside enjoying it?????
velo99 Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Not joking! My wife has two cats who have never felt grass under thier feet. They are inside cats only. Most cities here in the States have laws against pets running loose including cats. Once the cat turns to killing birds it moves from pet to predator and is to be dealt with accordingly. The responsibility lies with the pet owner to contain his animal(s) and keep them from being a threat to the nieghborhood.
Guest marvin Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 interesting thought that velo99
jimmy white Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 just set up one of these cat repellants, the cat fairly shifts, but does it know harm, so mines works ok anyway [ cost me a fortune from a forum member ;D ;D ;D, thanks my freind ]
Guest speckled Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 ;D ;D lol jimmy hope the cat repellent works better than the."water feature"lol ;D ;D ;D me im all for the gripper rods along fence, also keeps he neighbours from looking over the fence as well lol ;D ;D ;D Speck
Jim McArthur Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 catch it in a live catch trap put it in the middle of the garden and scare the s**t out of it. i let my dog run rings around the trap barking at it then chuck a bucket of cold water on it and let it go. ;D ;D ;D I don't hate cats, John, but I hate the way they are so cruel toward other creatures. Sounds as though you taught this one a valuable lesson! Jim

THE FIFER Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 the best one and it works 100% is the scare-crow one, u get them from Boddy and Ridgewood, u connect them to ur water tap by hose, and as soon as anything comes in its set area it lets go with water and it waves back and forth, i got one as both my next doors have cats, they only get one go with this and they do not come back for more, u have to be careful you put it off before u go in its area or u get soaked but yes they work, i havent had mine on for a few weeks now as the cats do not come back for more,
Roland Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Yes Carpet gripper, they thread their way through first time and walk along it naturally then on. Had loads downs once. Glad I never had to pay for it Mark. But if a cat hast to claw up the fence and it is cladded at the top with it, might work a mite I suppose. Most cats find higher ground available when they can
Guest Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 get your self a gun they love cats ;D ;D your just a pussy
Roland Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Can't here to are by law to be kept under control. There is no such thing as a 'Lincence to Roam' and one is entitled to compensation if they do damage, or kill a pet of yours....

Roland Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Should have read ... They can't here either, as there are by laws that enforces to be kept under control.
Guest Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Totally agree Velo We had problems with three cats who belonged to a neighbour and were let free to roam all day. These cats were a bloody nuisance, hanging on the aviaries and trying to catch the Koi when they swam up the creek. We have a bye law that says ALL animals are to be controlled within the property and I made good use of it, didn't make me popular but who cares, when I politely asked my neighbour to keep her cats on her property and she refused, giving the age old excuse that it was a cats instinct to hunt and kill birds and fish I HATE CATS WITH A VENGANCE
THE FIFER Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 cats i do not like not just because they harm pigeons but they are out at night and who knows where there pause have been then they come indoors and walk about on food worktops etc, couldn't do them any harm other than keeping them out with cat deterant etc, but would never have one in my house, just my impression, i like dogs some don't
