Roland Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Wel I stick to being a Nayer or whatever that is, being uneducated there like, because I don't see how any one can do without Jesus himself being present and leanding a hand. When folks have helpers, it would still take at least 1/1/2 seconds without getting in the way. No Hycinth I agree totally you can do it, and I am being totally honest and sincere, I could put 4 in myself.... But not from the time they hit the traps to getting 4 into a thimle etc. and clocking them within 5 seconds. But I will live and constantly but hopefully in the real world.
johnny11 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Rose everyone is entitled to their own opinion, thats probably why the ets saga is so long drawn out. Hyacinth I agree with Roly, if you on your own there is no way you could time 4 in 5 seconds unless the birds remove the rubber themselves and hand it to you. It is possible with someone else taking the rubbers off as seen with a T3 two birds on same second, but no way without help. was this with help John
Guest Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Of course I had help, Steve hadn't the foggiest idea how to time a countermark bird in so he caught them and I timed the rubbers in, but I just made the point to say how ridiculous a 20 second time penalty was.. I was discussing this yesterday at a Thanksgiving Party with a load of pigeon flyers and when ETS was going to be introduced into the states, there was all the same arguements from the dinosaur old boys that are being put over in the UK, incidentally the proposed time penalty was 5 seconds here according to my friends. The general consensus of opinion is that if they tried to take the ETS from the dinosaurs who fought against it in the first instance and eventually bought the system World War three would break out
johnny11 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 I see what you mean Hyacinth, as now if you have a partner you dont have to give a time penalty to a single fancier, as no way could a single fancier clock 4 in 5 seconds. It should be brought in now with no restrictions you either buy it or you dont.... Good job im not GM
pigeonpete Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 totally agree with you john matey, end of my comment on the subject
Roland Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Not so rediculous at your statement .. and when a person is out side the loft looking, waiting etc. it is a proven fact!
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 who is daft enough to even suggest a time penalty ? if you want to use it you use it with no restrictions, does somebody who is using a t3 get a penalty because he can run faster to his loft than the man next door who can't run , lot of garbage, use it or dont use no big deal same as it was up here a lot of arguing over nothing, anybody that moans about somebody using or wanting to use ets needs an injection of common sense
Roland Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 TRUE Ta, like I say it is just another silly little sweetner, to barter the an ET's with.... but one that wouldn't evenlast above two season - if it got through, before the very same folks would want it changed to zilched. Hyacynch ... a independent body paid for amng others the RPRA. LIKE I have posted earlier! Love to know how you decide what parts to read and what not too. For your really adab hand at that lol!

Guest TAMMY_1 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 AT OUR MEETING TODAY IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY PASSED TO USE ETS IN ALL FEDERATION RACES, NOT ONE COMMENT OR OBJECTION AGAINST IT, AND IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN HE WILL HAVE TO STAND DOWN AS PRESIDENT OF THE SHU IN APRIL WITH HIM NO LONGER FED PRESIDENT OR SHU DELEGATE, I THINK THIS IS CORRECT WAS WHAT WAS SAID TODAY

Pompey Mick Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 It would seem from Tammy's report that that Fanciers in Scotland are moving toward ETS rather than away from it. What is the general opinion North of the Border on this subject, what are the main concerns, cost or traditionalism, or a fear of anything to do with computers.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 "forgot you were an english teacher" who telt ye a wis a inglish teecher somwan been clypin agein? roland told me ,, you were his star pupil

THE FIFER Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 there has never been any handicap racing (getting penalties etc) and never should be , the same with only allowing to time in so many birds, I for one would never take a place knowing i had been beaten with lots of other birds. what would anyone achieve with that other than getting false places. going to the marking and having gotten a third ticket and joe blog letting u know he had 4-5 birds in before ures, if the birds are home the are entitled to be clocked,
pender Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Were they not some sort of penalty or handicap call it what you want wen you had running time, not sure that why i asking.
Roland Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Fifer says ... 'there has never been any handicap racing' Well he is obviously in the East side lol. Others have 'Handicaps every time the wind blows...
