swilcox Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Since 1999 i have used the product Gemthepax when breeding and given it to my young birds thoughtout there first year. There are many products out there which has in the long run little impact but in my opinion Gemthepax is out there on its own, everything a young pigeon could need. Just my thoughts on my favourite product. I use it 3 times a week and start 1 week before hatching. 2 times a week after they weaned. Stuart Wilcox
Wiley Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 what about g10 pellets stuart whats your opinion on these as they have gemthpax inside them. Also isit tru that you have to ring young birds much quicker using these products as the rate they grow is unbelieveable
sapper756 Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Yes have to agree with you Stuart, Gemthepax a good product. What about Hormorform? I find this to be a good additive.

Guest Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Wiley the pellets are good aswell say about 10% added to the feed, but I would also give the gemthepax on the other corn at the same time. Best results that way I have found, they do grow strong.

swilcox Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 Ben If you get chance use a new product on only 1/2 your birds, it will soon tell you whether its worth using again

Guest Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 thats it wiley i think all gem products smell of garlic .
Wiley Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 thats the first thing i spotted when went round to a friends of mine who was knocking some up,first thing i said thats all that is is garlic,so instead of buying strike i bought cloves of garlic and saved a good few bob ;D
swilcox Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 Wiley When you make any type of Vitamin or supplement you need to have a carrying substance to mix the expensive ingrediants with!!! Gem uses garlic powder as it also benefits the birds. Its like licto Spectin, 10% is anti biotic and 90% is glucose. 100% Licto Spectin always needs a diloater.
Wiley Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 thanks for your reply stuart could you know reply with the rest of the ingredients of strike!

Bobthegas Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 Can anyone give advise on Gemthepax, i was told to add it to the corn,no problem here, but do fanciers use galley pots and keep topped up all day. Also,i have been advised to use maple peas and nothing else,so i take it that i coat the maple peas in gemthepax??? Any ideas and views would be appreciated as this is my second year breeding. Bob
Silverdale Lofts Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 Bob you can add the Gemthepax to the corn or water
