JADE Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Clockman Dundee & Angus have not finalised race programme yet but it is expected that they will go to Maidstone with the SNFC. Not sure about Newbury as far as I am aware it has not been discussed yet. By the way the Amal. which was the best thing that ever happened for doo racing failed because the bigger feds left. Every fed had their own ideas and if they didnt get their own way they resigned.
DECKY Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Midland feds 2 open races are with SNFC fom Newbury and Maidstone. Forward thinking, I would say
dandydoo Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Fife Fed programme not been finalised yet at AGM. SNFC had not had their AGM at that point thus only conjecture at that point AND there is clashing with our current prog

dandydoo Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 In Clockys defence Sometimes what is understood to be said by Officials is taken as gospel by others, yet these officials cant make those committments at that time ...so they only think it.... and others believe it to be that Fed's position ...you understand

fifestay Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Clocky ....who told you this info ....was it one of the fed Officials?
THE FIFER Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 its just common sence now for feds to get together and convoy, all the hassle regarding this should be sorted in a sporting manner, when the fife fed was going with the amal, it was the answer to cost etc, there were probably a few disagreements but u will always get this, but in sport they should be sorted, its not very profitable or even affordable nowadays for smalll feds to go it alone, and this is the problem now, there are more feds cropping up all over, its not doing the sport any good, the problem with who is going to convoy and lib, should be simple, if flying south road the fed furthest north which has the transportation etc should do so, as if u let a fed further south than one with u the weather could be ok for them but not up north,
fifestay Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Fifer ...my point.... wasnt the sense of the decision but the fact there seems to be an agreement for Fife ...without the membership having decided YET AGAIN ....par for the Course really!!!! ...would be interested in knowing WHO agreed on Fifes behalf ...i have my suspicions .... but they had no authority and no mandate for the membership. Terrible i should get to know from a SNFC official from another area. They are very sure this will happen but as you know with the pre -payment folk are seeing it as paying twice and not every one is National minded. If it had been a birdage only payment system would be a different story :-/ :-/ :-/

THE FIFER Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 I PREVIOUSLY ASKED YOU ON THIS THREAD FIFER IF IT WAS THE ANSWER GOING WITH AMAL WHY DID IT STOP, DON'T THINK YOU ANSWERED, FEDS WILL NEVER AGREE BECAUSE NOT ALL MEMBERS WILL AGREE, ME I AM ONE OF THEM , I ONLY WANT MY BIRDS FLYING WITH LANARKSHIRE BECAUSE THAT IS THE FED I JOINED AND THAT IS THE FED I WANT HAVING CONTROL OF MY BIRDS, it was to do with the fife fed supplying baskets to the others, as they went with the fife transporter, i think the problem was getting baskets etc to them, i am not sure what the problem is this year as they were going to start it again, not being an official now dont really know what is going on, but if transporters had the same baskets etc and the fed able to accomedate i say the one furthest north should get first chance to convoy, i think in the end some wanted the fife transporter to go up and pick up birds, which is putting a lot more cost on when we hire a motor to pull our trailor also the time involved meant 2 drivers , so this is why i say the firthest north fe able to convoy would be best.
THE FIFER Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 this is the problem with the fife fed we have to pay for a hire to take our trailer down the road and its ok if its filled, but now we dont have the members to do so and it costs the same to go down the road no matter how many birds we have, so going down half full is very costly, even getting a smaller trailer is no good it still costs the same for the motor, this sort of hire thing is ok if u are a large fed, which the fife used to be (second largest in Scotland) but not now,

If it is, then the reason the proposers for the motion gave was the drag effect, especially on youngbirds, with central scotland young pigeons ending up in Fife, Dundee and Aberdeen. ;D Once our birds pass Falkirk they're lost ;D
