ROLAND THE ONLY THING THAT IS CRAP IS POSTS LIKE YOURS GO CONSULT YOUR SOLICITOR HE MAY HAVE MORE SENSE THAN YOU

Well he will certainly have more that your two pence worth and that's a fact! Or are you so gullible and dimwitted to say that NO one has a right of reply! Or a right to consult a LEGAL service as to wether a ruling is Law abiding. Are you so far up up own Back side to see anything other that the Brown stuff you squeak!

Most will remember Dave Allen taking the RPRA to court and winning ... but that would be above your head. Indeed even beyond any scenario for you.

The ets argument!  Some  of us are old fashoined, and the ets is similar to the bite alarms in fishing, which I myself frown upon. How can anybody call that fishing?

Laying, sometimes asleep in tents, and be given the chance to catch a record fish!

These guys MUST be joking. ;D ;D ;D ;D The same applies to the ETS as far as Vic is concerned, It is simply a joke, and will be the last straw etc etc etc Vic. ;)

Roland the RPRA have consulted their Lawyers and were told they have to comply.

Dave Allen my well have taken the RPRA to court this would not be difficult but you try taking the Goverment to court Quite a different thing.

But hey we will see how far you or others go.

If you win I will be the first to appologize and the RPRA will also be pleased the members will get off there backs and can have a vote.

Cheers

nothing in the Act to say the rules of traditional sports and pastimes have to be changed nothing in the Act at all. The only reason this is being brought in is to allow people to make money out of the dwindling number of gullible pigeon men and women.

Lol be far better if the pair of you actually read what I said / stated. It was obvious to any one witha 20p worth of common what the jest was.

Unlike the flood gate it's open for others.

'Great this equality rights in sports.

I hear Gordon Strachen has to fantastic wingers to play for Celtic – in wheel chairs!

To level it up the Turbo charge wheel chairs will do 0 – 30 mph in 2.2 seconds. They also have spring loaded rods. They will also have spring loaded 7 .9 high rods with round heads on the end for headed purposes.

They have arranged for ALL Scottish grounds to be TARMAC so they aren’t impeded in any way. Was going – well tried in fact for the Goal area to be a sand pit… but as this may clutter up they mechanics this has been overruled. All Goal pos must be rubber in case the chairs bump into them.

Oh just realised that Pigeon racing isn’t a sport it is a POULTY concern still  under DAFRA, and as such must Employ a certain % of invalids…'

And what has this to do with Goverment!!!!

We aren't even recognised as a sport!!! we are POULTRY keepers full stop.

Mind what about that poor swimmer that has now become alergic to water eh!

Can't stop his disability, so they moved to Hartlepool hope to use Baths / swimming pools with out water. Now that is fine, as long as no one makes a splash I suppos!

THIS SUMS UP THE REASON ETS IS A GOOD IDEA WELL SAID M8

There will be arguements over this for years , we have had it in Scotland for five years and it is only for this season coming that in Lanarkshire you will be able to use it for every race, rules here are the pads have to be inside the loft and it is up to each club to ensure every member has this done, me I don't care either way , if you want it use , if you don't want it then do not buy it, agree fully with Jason about catching the bird and removing the rubber and timing in, great feeling, we have an old member in our club and he has arthritis in his hands and he sometimes has difficulty taking the rubber off and clocking in, he says he would never change doing this because he says it makes it even more exciting for him when he drops the rubber and panics trying to get it in, he says this is what makes the races for him doing it the way he has done it for 60 years, but everybody should have the choice to do as they please with any clock as long as it is a recognised one, this system will be here for everybody eventually so everybody that moans about it wil just have to face the fact it will be brought in to England and Wales just the same as here,

Pigeonscout....Thanks for the link but that will still need the USB port on the computer and as our computer in the club runs on windows 95 it does not comply with USB. One of the systems, can't rmember which one, uses the serial port of a computer. I'll just leave it to the first idiot to buy the right/wrong one. Not bothered myself as i am not getting ETS for at least two years when hopefully the prices come down substantially.

thats excactly what its about me, how come whenever something like this which is unwanted comes into play then  all of a sudden the discrimantion act comes into it never before has this been quoted in pigeon racing before so why now and no offence to anyone who is disabled in anyway but disabled people have been flying pigeons for years and no one ever complained then about it but then there is more money to be out of it .

"TUBBLES WHY NOT APPLY FOR A LOTTERY GRANT "

speaking as pigeon man and a lottery player Alf I object strongly to money being wasted by giving it away to "daft boys" to time their doos in especially when pensiomers are told they have to pay for their own perscriptions because the medicine they need is not provided on the NHS.

IN FACT I WOULD GO AS FAR TO SAY ITS A CRIMINAL WASTE OF RESOURCES!!

Its a long long long time since I won prizes at the Gospel Hall Sammy but as I have said on here before "the love of money " really is the root of all evil look what it has done to the sport in Scotland.

I think some people are missing the point and that is Pigeon racing not rubber clocking. Making your pigeon fly the fastest form A to B is what pigeon racing is about. You can be 10 seconds faster taking a rubber off you bird and clocking it but if your bird is 5 min's slower you will not win. It is the pigeons that do the racing not the fancier all this talk about playing foot ball in wheel chairs etc has nothing what so ever to do with ETS. ETS is just a device that records a time just like any other clock the only difference is you do not need to put a rubber in it to prove the bird arrived at that time. I could have my son or friend put the rubber in a clock if I am not at the loft so what has me putting a rubber in a clock got to do with winning a race? Nothing.

If a disabled person using ETS can time a bird without having to put a rubber into a clock then why not let them?  ETS is only recording the time the bird arrived it has nothing to do with how fast that bird flew from A to B. Do you like clocking birds is that what gives you fun then keep doing it no one is stopping you but do not try telling people they should not be in the sport if they cannot. You use whatever time recording device you want and let others use the time recording device they want. If you think ETS will win you more races then buy ETS that is your choice, the disabled person has no choice.

The USB fits into the ETS the other end into the computer printer port.

ALF....

I really don't think that I as just a club secretary should apply for a grant, and this is not just passing the buck in any way, but, i believe it should be Federations that should apply to the lottery for grants and that way the Whole federation would be on an equal footing. The federation secretaries have enough work to do but if just our club had them bought for us it would give our members an advantage in the federation. I don't want to get involved in the ...." it doesn't make them fly faster" argument because this, to me is obvious but why should one whole club have the advantage over the federation.

I have been told ( don't know if its true or not so don't quote me ) but in Belgium, members can use ETS in some levels of racing but they still have to clock a rubber into a timing clock. ETS for clubs or opens maybe would be ok but Federation level perhaps rubbers....... just a thought. ;)

Grow up Alf you know as well as I do that the lottery was not set up to provide daft doomen with relatively large sums of money for fancy electronic timing systems which record  that they came first or for that matter last in any particular pigeon race(sometimes when they are lying in their beds on a saturday morning, crazy I know but this is actually FACT it happened in my own club last year). Is this doo racing?

Pigeon organisations should be donating to charity not robbing charitable funds.

The only grants awarded to pigeon racing should for the likes of an old man who needs a new dookit or the like.

Generally speaking this sort of money should be reserved for poor folks struggling with their health and similar.

it does'nt have to be the secretary who applies for a grant anyone in ur club can do so as long as they have permission, i am just a member of my club and i applied and was successful.
