me Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 "YES ME BUT THEY GOT LAUGHED OUT OF THEIR KANGAROO COURT DID THEY NOT!!! ANYWAY WHATS THAT GOT TO DO WITH ME SAYING YOUR NOT AN RPRA MAN IF I MAY ASK???" and I am personally delighted they were but thats not alwas been the case alf trust "me" there are lads today banned from enjoying the sport they love for longer than some people who have been convicted for murder have been jailed for. I'm playing safe you are not familiar with what I have been subjected to
Roland Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 What's all the crap once again about a ‘Name’! Pen name or what ever eh! It is what the 'names' says that counts. If you haven't the balls to state your case because you are 'FRIGHTENED' that the Pen Name may be a well known name, or good flyer, then don't post. If he / she puts across a good point that you can't answer, or feel that in retrospect your point wasn't valid, don't use the silly ole crap scenario of 'Hiding' behind a name, or imply that they’ are frightened to say who they are etc. or make out there must be something to hide, GET over it, 99% of the names I see I don't know, or have ever heard of, so what! Many with the their name showing spout more crap than most and as they use the real name, imply that in that case hey must be right, and above inspection. If you don't like the post, regardless whether you know the name or not, even if it's a pen name, then don't reply or post! But because your nose is put out, give over and grow up, because it would have been put out regardless of the Name that posted it!
Roland Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 I see in this years London Marathon, that ALL runners are to have someone to hold onto and help them around the 26 mile course, just to be on parr with the discrimination of us [u]'Poultry Keepers'
tubbles Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Just a quickie peeps Tubbles (was called tubby as a kid cant see why must have been the fat eh)=Phil Brown not worried about giving name it is just what i signed up as. Was told long time back not to use a real name on forums for some long time forgotten reason. LoL sorry for joining in to this debate if it upsets people but i fly pigeons and am entitled to opinion. I only come into this debate because i am secretary and was wanting to now first hand about ETS because it is me (sorry 'ME' now you see what i mean about your name) that will be expected to find out about it.
pigeon2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Neither really, I feel it will take all the fun out of the sport, how many times have you heard of rubbers being dropped lol. with ETS the bird will return, go through the trap, and its all over to me this is boring, I think its much more fun to remove rubbers, your in such a rush to time them in, the addrenalin rush is great. just my oppinion Jason If talking about ETS against T3 i don't think it fair..But technology always steping forward we might have to follow or we disadvantage.. But if it can be Cheat???I used to worked with electronic and programing ..worrying that it can be cheat..Every one use to go to store and see cashier scaned you goods before,Now what did they do if they can't carry your item on the scanner..They using there hand hold scanner Right...And those hand hold scanner don't even touch the item they can scaned 4-5 feet away. As the technology steps forward i worry about some body smart or know some body smart enough to find the way to scaned there birds 100 feet??? may be 20 feet away. Soon or later the price of ETS will droped(just like camaras..TV's....) and evey one will own one.

On supermarket checkout scanning, I've seen the opposite, scanner can't pick up the bar code only millimetres away. ETS kit is designed to pick up birds in a very small area ... those going over the sensor (pad). Surely needless additional expense in fitting a sensor that scans metres rather than centimetres, with yet greater cost to fancier? ETS costs enough as it is! There's supposed to be £1 million on offer to anyone who can cheat the Unikon system. It was offered thro the letters pages of the BHW a few years ago in the form of a challenge to those in Scotland who opposed it at that time on the grounds that it wasn't tamper-proof. None of them accepted that challenge. Now from where I'm standing, if it was money I was after, it would take a lot longer to earn £1M cheating pennies at a time in races when there's a real quick cash prize on offer for 'simply' demonstrating how to cheat the ETS system.
Guest Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 2007 the cheating thing doesnt come into it a cheat is a cheat doesnt mater what clock or ets i aggree we still have to put in place safeguards for the potential cheat with ets as our fore fathers did for clocks but are we clever enough to do that with the new tech.? and how long before it will be supperceded they say a computer is obsolete before you buy it unless that model has just been launghed

I thing the cost of the equipments itself is the same cost of the hand hold supermarket scanner but the cost of knowage is problemly very high. And as you said i think i won't worry about it from now..
Roland Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Would love to know why Poultry Keeping is now thought of as a sport. I see also that next years world alom etc, indeed all winter sports are going to be held on Grass, as those that live in the Likes of Sweden, Austria etc. have an unfair advantadge on snow. Just realise apparently why the Brits aren't so good at it... But will now undoubtedly bwe able to nip over the mud flaps with the best of them. Must say it's about time too, been very discriminate that! But due to climate changes it would appear that even those countries with strife better as the snow there in 30 yeas time will be unheard of... and about time too, mostly and grossly unfair that!
