Hi

Yes I have a cpc , but that does not answer my question

A cpc is an certificate to entitle an individual to examine HGVs

An OP/L is for the vehicle itself

I contacted VOSA on Friday after Thursday transport meeting , but VOSA want my request in writing

Until your secretary's receive letters from IH don't want to say to much

Was looking for some UNC transport people to comment

Cheers

RPRA Vehicle Licensing, a comprehensive article published in BHW March 25th 2005, was the legal opinion on 'need for an Operator's Licence and vehicle tachograph when transporting racing pigeons to release points around the country'.

Conclusion

Operator's License NOT required: (RPRA) was a non-profit Organisation, seeking only to cover the costs of transport for an activity that is for pleasure or a hobby, the carraige of birds is not done for any hire or reward, nor is it done in connection with any trade or business.

Tachograph NOT required on transporter vehicles: non-commercial carraige of goods for personal use,
