Hi Roland

I assume that a persons email address names have to be in the diary in the first place

I can tell you that no one on this forum is in my computer diary simply because i have not contacted them.

And i repeat yet again IT is my old Website that is causing this problem not my home computer. If any of you joined My Forum on my old Website .com then it may be the case but this i do not know as many use differnt names But i can tell you it is not from my own home computer none of you have been sent emails by me and none of you are in the address book. I do hope one of you contact the police so this can be cleared up There experts will find out what is on the thing. but once this happens to me my good name will be gone and i will take any action i think needed, once i am found not guilty of sending such rubbish

Roland , On my old Computer which i changed i had AVG virus It let me down several times so now i have Norton like Millions of others where or when does it all stop and what is the point of having a Virus System in the first place if they are not reliable and tell lies to the computer owner because by all accounts according to some here mine is

Agree Expat, but anyone that has emailed / visited your addie leaves a caling card.  So it could well be that is / has b collected.

I agree and believe you 100% especially  as similar has happened to me and many others. It is very embassasing to say the least.

I would like to explain to you how this all happened

I received an email informing me that I had a private message awaiting me at Patrick Brothers old forum clicked on the Link provided and when I entered the forum there was no mail so I decided that since I was there I would have a look around entered the forum and saw all the different site and links did not like what I saw and so I logged off.

Within 10 minutes my computer started telling me I had spy ware removal problems and suggested I purchase a removal program called SPYLOCKED.

Then emails went missing couldn't open up Internet explorer shut downs the whole thing was unreal.

A friend came over run my spy ware program along with another and he managed to get it up and running again.

This DID NOT come from Steve Patricks home it came from the Old forum.

Ste, Actually, there must be  something wrong with either your computer or mine. I can normally send e mails and have  immediate  responses, whether the news be good or bad. Sent a pm via pigeon basics also. But still all quiet on the Western Front.   ic.

Steve Patrick has done nothing wrong and he is correct, there is nothing amiss with his computer. It is the old website and he has done everything within reason to sort it out.

 

Thieves and pornographers are skillful at sending out internet "bots" to find discussion forums that will allow them in to do their activities. These thieves and pornographers prepare an email announcing  that you have a "PM" and send it out to those on the list. These emails mimic exactly a legitimate PM notice. They include a link in the email to reply and retrieve the supposed message. If you click the link (NEVER click a link in an email!), it will take you to a fake log-in page that imitates the original where you will give away your password to them. Since most people use the same log-in name and password for all their accounts, they will attempt then to use spyware to invade your computer, discover your accounts (including banking) and do some financial damage.

 

Steve has done everything he can and is not at fault in any way. Visit his new website, http://www.patrickbros.be, and do not answer any emails from the old website. Do not click on any link in those emails from the old site. Better yet, buy a Macintosh computer -- a lot less problems. ;D

To make my point, I just noticed that "AdSense", "Googlebot" and "Yahoo! Bot" are logged on this forum. These are automated internet bots, not human members. While it may be Google and Yahoo! that are sending out their bots in a non-malicious way to gather useful information, it points out that this forum is also vulnerable to internet bots. Do not click on any link sent to you in an email from this site. Word to the wise.   ??)

I think Steve in his capacity as an Elder Statesmen of our sport deserves a little more respect than he is getting, esp as im sure like most he is no computor wizz kid!!!!

 

Viruses are design to be slick, undetectable and untracable so we shouldnt be pointing any blame, only the hackers can shoulder that burdon.

I should have known better than bother to reply really I suppose. I personlly was as is all to see exonerating Steve, like others were.. Sure some are complexed and wanted to know just what is what and what and how it hapened... And rightly vet their frustration in words. But like you say Allbear nowt untoward. I'd wager each and everyone that has had virus / hacking problems etc. have cursed a mite!

First of all Roland , I am not one of the Big Boys, I am an ordinary pigeon Fancier who has flown well over the years, But that is all. I do not consider myself to be better than the next Guy and because i have raced well for a long time the name gets noticed, No fault of mine But we were bought up in a family of ten children and respect everyone, we are as i said ordinary people Not  Big Boys or to put it in the way it is meant, Better or higher up than others. No Sir/' that is not us two brothers

Everyone on this forum has been very good about this except Vic,

I have said now several Times that My Computer is Okay My Computer in my house is not a problem at 4.30 this morning i put on a full Virus Scan again for the second time in as many days plus the Automatic one a couple of days earlier. No Problems, I have the most up todate Norton Program it is possible to buy

Vic is saying in effect that i am sending out emails containing a virus. When i have said that i have not sent anyone on this forum one single Email from my home computer except in reply to Vics two

Plus i have said i have no ones email address in my Diary or address book on the computer so how can i send out emails containing virus.

Dougie has saiid he picked it up on our old Website, So what is Vic going on about, He certainly does not believe what i say, and to be honest i do not like being made out to be a lier.

Vic, this is for you Put up or shut up. i have had enough of your drivel. If you think i am speading a virus from my home computer then take action i have given you the phone number of our Police Use it. Or take whatever action you think fit. After you have been proven wrong,  then it will be my turn

Not my usual way of sorting out a problem by i have repeated myself for the last time, do what you want to do, no more talking lets have some action from you.

Richard the Webmaster can verify this, I have one from Dougie on 10th April i replied to him on the 11th April He replied to mine on the 11th April thats it

the other two were from the Webmaster on the 11th and 17th Feb no others in my mailbox

As regards my website www.patrickbros.com i went to see the fellow this morning as soon as i finished doing the pigeons It took me 4.30 hours. However he never replied to my mails and had the phone off. The Poor Fellow has had some rotten Luck since the beginning of this year. His Daughter had a major Heart Operation, Yesterday he buried his Mother and since the new year his wife has gone down with Cancer, I feel so sorry for the Guy Our problems mean nothing compared to his

However He has Cut off all the information and closed the website www.patrickbros.com. No one can get access to it. Next Month the Server will take it off completly

I am truly sorry if this has caused problems for anyone But i can assure you our new site over here is okay WE have no forum on it or guest book for anyone to play with i can alter things myself ans a lot of articles on there may help some young fancier who cares to take a look.

Wasn't implying anything etc that as soon as a Pleb has a crip, a genuine question too many jump and come out with 'what Stuart did... next it will be the silly scenario of 'jealousy.

Never knew you flew any great pigeons, but then again only ever heard of you when yo wrote a couple of letters in the BHW ...  So why you have to chur out yor past performances is again a mystery. I simple state that I knew of many cases where Hackers take over a site, or even a Email addie and spill a lot of havoc around whilst the so called culprit is helpless and daren't even send a Email of appoligy because that may also be contaminated. Once in they can and do take over till the Internet big boys sort it. Golly just look at the times a day ones P.c is updated to safe guard one's .c etc. They are very clever and slick as we all know and there are umpteen 'Docs' working around the clock trying to keep a drift and combat them. So no I personally never for a moment thought you was able to do anything ... AS my POST state.

The problem doesn't lie with Patrick Brothers, or their websites, it lies with the type of people who use / misuse the internet. So if you are going to blame people, blame the right people.

 

My guess is that it is nothing to do with the Patrick Brothers' genuine new or old websites, it is more likely a clone, a website pretending to be someone else, and its sole purpose is possibly phishing, trying to steal your data, and plant spyware which targets you for all sorts of suspicious emails and nasty attachments.

 

I've posted before on computer protection, and I see that various packages have been purchased or downloaded free; I repeat that it is your Internet Service Provider's responsibility to provide firewall, antivirus, antispyware etc., because the ISP is providing the link between the internet and your computer, down which all these problems flow.

I never quoted Performances i do not need to, just said we flew well over the years, And i think Stuart meant my age, Not what we had acchieved in the pigeon Sport. Sarcasam will make you a popular fellow i am sure. I have done my bit to sort the problem out

The Only thing i am guilty of is having a website which got invaded. I have said i am sorry. What do you want Blood, I write this and to be honest i do not feel happy about what has happened. I will not jusify my pigeon Career to you or anyone to pick holes in I do not need to simple fact it will stand against anyone and i am proud of the pigeons we have owned. But good or bad however we have raced pigeons It does not change the sort of person one is.I am not repyling to any more mails on this The Problem has been sorted, Nothing more i can do. Unless some want to take further action over this then i bow out i for one do not feel welcome by a few of you on this forum, To the Rest of You Lads and Ladies who have realised it was not my doing i hope you all have a trouble free race season and the best of luck
