Judi B Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 So sorry about your birds, I know how devastated you must fell..horrible hawk took one of mine birds 11 days ago. It has taken so many, thinks it's McDonalds. Anyway the little dove has survived, she was horribly injured but somehow is still alive. She looks terrible but is now eating and drinking on her own and preening. She is miserable but until her wounds are well healed, I must keep her alone. At least I got her...we'll see how she goes but I'll probably keep her in as couldn't see her caught again poor thing. All the best. Judi

jimmy white Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 same here yesterday, a hawk [perigrine] ive been watching for a while now,, came from nowhere , just nipped a good black cock , a few feathers lost in the air ,the birds went sky high, and the pair of crows warded this hawk off in to the distance , but i can tell you, that was one lucky bird,,just afew feathers off his back, , and that was with me being there at the time , and to be honest, even if i had ,had a gun , it wouldnt have been any good , ive been watching this bird for a while now, and every time it comes anywhere near,, the crows have warded it off, but itll come once to often?,,,the crows will get it????
