Best Strain

Hi All,

 

I was just wondering what everyone thoughts were on the best strain out there. I am more inclined to Janssens as they are a good bird, anybody wanna give me some tips?

No doubt, only one Bussearts! Test of time and collosal winners at all distances.

Next possibly Jansenn, - and a combination of umpteen strains.

i dont beleive theres such a thing as a pure strain ,, their racing pigeons, some good, some bad , i would be more inclined to get birds [whatever the so called strain ] that are bred from generations of winners at the distance you intend racing them ,, i would be more interested in management and methods

Janssens are sprinters,perhaps a good bet if we are ever restricted to inland racing again!!I don't think it really matters too much what strain they are [unless you have bred them yourself how do any of us really know what strain for sure we are buying anyway!].Main thing is they are healthy,have winners in the line and come from a genuine fancier who get good results and cares about what he is doing,I would never buy "supermarket" birds...just my opinion

a jannsen won the snfc from rennes by 1 of my freinds, wouldnt call that a sprint 500+ mile

yes i think he has,, krauths between thsparrows  and theagulls ;D ;D ;D only kidding tam ,, just concenrate on sion to  your raceon sat  ;D ;D ;D

 

there are still many of the old strains around [great old pigeons , tough and very strong constitutions ],,,,but cannot help thinking that after so many years after,,, their kinda" watered down a bit now",,,but if you look at many a modern day pigeon ,,  youll find that some [quite a lot] still carry the genes of these old breeds :)
