DOVEScot Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Has anyone seen the reports on the eagle owls that have nested on a hillside in England and they have chicks as well????? The statement by one was if they are wild then this is ok, because it will be the only ones in Britain. But it would be a pity if they have escaped from the many in captivity ??) ??) ??)What's the difference, we are releasing sea eagles, red kites, etc all over britain Its a European Eagle Owl, surely like our ever growing european workforce they should be allowed the same benefits ;D ;D ;D Surely if it's a native european it should be allowed to stay and be encouraged to stay and thrive on what it likes best ;D ;D ;D Lets fund an eagle owl release program in the uk, bet that one would get a lot of support from our fellow fanciers and a knockback from the RSPB

Roland Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 They clear any 'Competition' in their very wide area. I doubt very much they would be able to catch a pigeon... But hawks etc. are easily and readily taken at night time. Have to ask my friends dad if he'll breed some youngsters.
