With regard to your wind, in Leicester it is definatly west north west, quite strong as well. High Broken cloud with lots of blue sky

Square peg i can assure you the wind here in north yorkshire has been north west since this morning i  drove up to Newcastle and back this afternoon and the wind was the same up there
