Aycliffe site is a large ish carpark, however is not great for libs due to parked HGV.

 

The industrial estate is massive, if someone drove round they could probably find a decent location.

 

The place we showed the drivers earlier year is now blocked off.

As this is the second racepoint Lanarkshire has discovered is unsuitable for its transporter, was wondering if there is such a thing as a liberation site booklet detailing facilities availble on site, suitability for certain types of vehicle, location map, etc.?

No there is not one for us Bruno, all the information we had on the sites was passed to us from the rpra or the shu.

I may have identified 3 possible sites, i will have a quick look after work tomorrow.

 

If they are potentially suitable i will get gogle earth co ordinates for you to look.

rule 32 c

in open or duplication races where fed pools and prizes are involved if it is impossible to race from stated race point all monies in pools will be returned less 5%. entry money in duplication races to be returned entry money in open race to be retained

 

to me the stated race point for the race on the 6th of july is liliers we went to a diffrent race point due to the fact france was closed

as  witton castle on the 18 august we are unable to get access with two hgv's

 

bending the rules for one means got to do it for both races do you agree?

2 different cases

Witton Castle the birds are not onroute so the race point can be changed

Rule 32c was introduced in 78/79 the year after the birds were brought back from Sartilly to Dorchester Alex Wilkie of Cambuslang won the race

went and had a look at the sites, not good news.

 

Aycliffe1 access blocked with boulders, but hgv could probably drive over the kerbs.

the area use to be ued for hgv driver training, and has a lip / path about six foot wide.

 

Aycliffe3 was a factory that had been demolished, now fenced off and work in progress.

 

Aycliffe2 this would be ideal, good access road and large open area, but padlocked.this land may be owned by Filtronic /fujistu as it was the site used by the builders.

Another site which could possibly be used is a lorry park, that overlooks the oakleaf leisure fields, i think this is a council maintained hgv park.

How busy it gets i dont know, but again depending if other events were on would determine its use.

 

Marked on the map as lorry park.

 

Lots of areas look empty, but there is lots of development going on, most open spaces are blocked for access.

No Owen did not resign He was sacked at the following AGM by the same bunch of idiot delegates and others who insisted he stay at Hastings As Owen left the hall

Motherwell YMCA a small section started stamping there feet I left the hall that day throughly ashamed to call myself a member of Lanarkshire fed

My remark about Vince Hendry was nothing more than here we are 19 years later and Vince will chair another meeting about Rule 32c
